Is there a physical "Off" button?
- There is a physical Off button on the top of the display. The display also has a digital Off button.
How does the display get installed?
- Please refer to this Install Video. Remove the 8mm top dash tray bolt, then lift the OEM tray out. Route the USB power cord down through the dash to console area for 12V power. Connect to the factory cigarette plug using the included car charger. Note: Use Forscan to program the Power Point shutdown timer to be killed when ignition is off, after a door is opened. Mount the Dash Display in place of the OEM tray, use the 8mm bolt to secure it in place. Turn the vehicle on to send power to the display. Connect the Display to your phone, audio setting on the display allows your Bluetooth audio to be sent to the vehicle directly. Note: You must have Bluetooth capabilities in your vehicle for this to work, all Non-Sync Interceptors 2013-2019 can utilize the ATO AUX+BT Combo to achieve crisp & clear Bluetooth audio. Test for function and your installation is complete.
Why buy this instead of a Sync 3 conversion?
- Many 2013-2019 Ford PIU's do not have Sync at all, making a Sync conversion an entire retrofit. The cost to add a conversion to Sync equipped vehicles varies and is more involved that installing this display solution. Non-Sync Ford PIU owners can take advantage of seamless Carplay/Android Auto integration in an OEM style, limited mechanical abilities, and do it all affordability. Additional benefits are the ease of removal in the event there is a need to replace the display, something not so easy or cheap if using used parts to convert to Sync 3.
