Free Shipping and More Payment Options Now Available
ATO - Auto has updated store policies as of September 2026. All orders now ship free across the website, and a wider set of payment options are now available at checkout. These changes affect how product prices display, how orders are fulfilled, and how customers can pay. It was long overdue after repeated customer feedback about flat rate shipping fees appearing late in the checkout process and missing payment methods.
Free shipping is now included on every order
All orders placed through the website now include free shipping, with optional expedited rates. Before this update, products could show a lower item price, then add a flat rate shipping fee during checkout. That created confusion and frustration for some shoppers. A customer might see a low product price, start checkout, then find a higher total once standard shipping appeared.
That experience did not match how many people now shop online. Large marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay have made free shipping a common expectation. Many customers want to see the full out-the-door price before reaching the last step of checkout. Since the standard has been set by others, the new approach to pricing and fulfillment setup aims to make pricing clearer. Shipping is now built into product pricing, translating to a more accurate price shown between the product page and checkout from the start.
Product prices now reflect the new shipping setup
Since shipping is included, some product prices may look different than they did prior to September. For single-item orders, the change is meant to create a cleaner checkout experience. The product price already accounts for shipping, so the final total is easier to understand. For multiple-item orders, prices were reviewed and automatic discounts apply to keep prices reasonable. Including shipping in every product price can raise the total if a customer buys several items at once, that's not something a customer wants to pay. To offset that, volume discounts were factored into the updated pricing structure and will continue to be added as more products are released.
The site may look exactly the same as it did before the change, but with prices adjusted to account for the new changes. Some individual product prices may appear slightly higher, some of which have been due for an increase for a while. The key difference is that shipping is no longer added as a separate flat fee near the end of checkout. The goal is simply a price-you-see, price-you-pay experience.
A new policy page now explains shipping, returns, and payments
A new page in the About section of the website covers store policies. The page covers the current Shipping, Returns, and Payment policies in one place. This page was added to answer common questions I've received before an order was placed. It gives customers an easily accessible source for current store policies instead of requiring them to search across multiple pages or wait until checkout.
The page covers policy areas such as:
Available shipping methods, including order pickup and installs
How returns are handled and what is non-returnable
Which payment methods are accepted as well as any non-refundable transaction fees
This update is part of the same shipping policy change. The store now has one dedicated place for information that affects the full ordering process. The page is also useful for returning customers that notice some of these changes firsthand. Anyone familiar with the old flat rate shipping setup can easily review the new policy before placing another order.
Square has been replaced by Wix Payments
Out with the old, in with the new card/payment processing system. Square is no longer the payment processor used on the website. The decision was made because Square limited access to several major payment methods that customers wanted to use. The site now uses Wix Payments, vastly expanding the number of accepted payment options and makes checkout more flexible. The new setup supports nearly every major payment method now expected in online shopping. Many of these options were not available under the previous payment setup.

This change gives customers more control over how they complete an order. Some may prefer a credit card, others may want a mobile wallet. Some may use PayPal or a pay later service when available as that is their preferred method. The broader payment list should help more customers pay the way that works best for them.
